Northern Pride Skytrans Holiday Camp a great success!
Wednesday, 01 July 2009 19:29

The Northern Pride's Inaugural Skytrans Holiday Camp has been a great success with almost 200 juniors participating over the last four days.

From Monday through to today juniors have taken part in Rugby League skills & drills while also learning about fire safety, nutrition, strength and conditioning as well as many other life skills.  Photos from the Northern Pride Skytrans Holiday Camp are now available by clicking here or by looking in the Photo Gallery in the What's On section on the Northern Pride homepage.

Take Pride Program Co-ordinator Chey Bird said "the response to this camp has been overwhelming and in almost all cases the participants have been examplary.  the participants have learnt a lot in terms of Rugby League and also becoming good young citizens."

He added "we hope to make this an annual event after the success of the past week.  A lot of work went into this Holiday Camp and I would personally like to thank all who have sponsored and helped throughout the week.  It has been much appreciated and allowed a great initiative to work so well."

Rugby League is certainly very strong in Far North Queensland and with some of the skills on show the Skill360 Northern Pride will be strong for many years to come.
