The Northern Pride RLFC

The Skill360 Northern Pride are a Rugby League Football Club that exist to provide opportunities and pathways to locals to progress to the elite level from their own doorstep.  Although the club is only in its third year of operations it is widely recognized throughout the League as the most professionally run club.

Of the 28 contracted Northern Pride players in 2010 there are 23 originally from Far North Queensland.  Many of these players were living and playing away from home but all decided to come home to play for the Pride when the opportunity arose.  From the outset a very strong team has been put together with the Pride going down in Golden Point Extra Time in the Preliminary Final to the eventual Premiers in 2008 and making the Grand Final in 2009.

The Pride are based at Jones Park, Mann St (Cairns District Junior Rugby League Grounds), train at Pride Oval (Irene St, Mooroobool) and play at Barlow Park (cnr of Scott & Spence Sts, Cairns).
